Thank you Mary Lee. I have always admired your talent and honesty. I’m sorry that you had to endure this, but we live in ‘gotcha’ times, and they are looking for anything to discredit science and scientists. I did the same thing. While fully compliant and disclosed, I had some funding for a small outreach program that was not painfully obvious. As scientists under incredible and unprecedented (and undue) suspicion we need to be beyond transparent. Thank you for writing this and hope to see you soon.
